We are pleased to announce a major upgrade to the Question Management system — a development designed to bring greater flexibility, higher accuracy, and stronger organizational capabilities to your assessment workflows.
Managing large question banks often requires adaptable formatting and structured classification. With this update, the entire question import process has been rebuilt to eliminate common formatting challenges and provide administrators with complete control over how questions are uploaded.
Administrators can now define custom separators for answer options and correct answers, ensuring compatibility with different content preparation formats. The default separator is set to a semicolon (;), but this can be adjusted to match institutional needs. Additionally, option ordering can now be controlled during import, reducing the need for manual adjustments after upload. Matching and comparison-type questions are also handled more efficiently, minimizing structural errors and improving accuracy.
Beyond formatting enhancements, we have introduced full multi-tag support for questions. Institutions can now assign multiple tags to each question, allowing advanced categorization by topic, difficulty level, course module, or any internal classification method.
Tags can be added during question creation, modified during updates, or included directly within the import file. The search engine has been upgraded to support filtering by tags, enabling administrators to quickly locate specific content within extensive question banks. Tags are also visible within question listings and when embedding questions into exams or activities, ensuring clarity and transparency in content organization.
This upgrade not only simplifies question management but also strengthens content scalability and long-term maintainability of your assessment system.
